Charter School 37

Lamy, NM

Charter School 37 is a dual language expeditionary learning high school for 400 students with an environmentally sustainable educational program. Approximately 20 miles south of Santa Fe, CS 37 is the newest development at the Galisteo Basin Preserve. The school’s campus is integrated throughout the village, enriching the lives of students and the local community alike—the school’s library is the community library; the auditorium and classrooms are available for town meetings and public gatherings. Instead of City Hall, the school is the center of the community. In keeping with the community’s mission, 450 architects has been selected to design a beautiful, functional, highly sustainable school.
