Santa Cruz High School Photo-Voltaic Array

California

The client, Santa Cruz City Schools (SCCS), sought to control their rising electricity bills. 450 architects and SolarCity designed and installed a 207 kW roof-mounted solar system over six separate buildings. SCCS structured a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with SolarCity where their electricity bills would stay constant for the next fifteen years, at rate lower than current retail costs. At the end of the contract term, the client will have the option to buy the solar array system. During the length of the contract, SolarCity maintains the entire system. Real time data and system performance can be remotely monitored thru a web-based energy management system.
