At 450 architects, we guide our clients through the design process—listening to their needs, communicating every step of the way, and nurturing a strong collaboration between client, architect, and all members of the design and construction team. The result? Beautiful, soulful buildings that exceed the client’s expectations, in harmony with the environment and community.
In our educational work and other neighborhood-based projects, we involve the community in the design process. We listen to the requests of parents, students, teachers, staff, administrators and the community, bringing in expert consultants when needed, and managing multi-departmental needs and the constraints of financing.
Our residential work is about intimately understanding the nuances of personal space—how families relax, entertain, and live day to day. We don’t create houses; we create environments for living. Our most successful projects develop from a level of comfort and mutual respect between client, architect, and contractor.
In all our projects, we bring in specialized consultants, utilizing their expertise to complement and inform the process. We’re consultants, too, offering our expertise in the field of green design, including LEED consulting, Passive House consulting, solar design, site analysis, energy conservation, green materials and systems specification, and indoor air quality studies. Our staff includes licensed professional architects, designers, LEED Accredited Professionals, and Certified Passive House Consultants.
450 architects provides comprehensive architectural design services from master planning through construction close-out for new and renovation projects, for both public and private clients. Principals Richard Parker and David Bushnell are directly involved with each project, ensuring smooth communication, articulating the client’s goals and visions.
